Meet Cheeks McGee! 6-days old ~{Pompano Beach Baby Photographer}~

I met and photographed this chubby-cheeked sweetheart on day 6 of his little life. He was the largest newborn I’ve ever photographed – 10 pounds, 7 ounces at birth! (Mom carried almost 11 pounds of baby around in there- someone send this woman a medal!) But this baby boy wasn’t just big and beautiful, he was also so sleepy and cooperative. I posed him, propped him, layed him this-way-and-that, all without so much as a peep. Ahhh – he made my job so easy! But the baby wasn’t the only wonderful part of this session. When I walked into the house and met his big sister, who is only two years old, her hazel eyes drew me right in. I was itching to photograph her and capture them sparkling with light. And sparkle, they did – practically lit my lens on fire!

First, let’s meet baby, who I was calling “Cheeks McGee” as I processed his images. I think it should be obvious why.:)

I love his little baby cowlick. Don’t you? <3

Remember how I told you about big sister’s pretty hazel eyes? I’d be insanely jealous if she weren’t just a toddler! What I also love about this photo is how she still has that whispy-soft, baby-like hair. She might be a “big sister,” but she’s still just a teeny little thing, herself. <3

Mom was reluctant to pose with baby, at first. But I eventually persuaded her to do it and am so glad she agreed! Isn’t she just beautiful? I love her soft expression as she cuddles her baby. These kinds of images are what make me love being a photographer!

Mom ordered this three-image collage as a 10″ x 20″ print for the nursery. I looooove displaying images of babies-on-black in this way. So classic, so timeless.

I’ll end with a shot of baby resting in his mommy’s loving arms – just as he should. <3

M Family, your new son was precious and your daughter was a beautiful delight. Thank you for letting me capture this special time in your lives, and I hope you enjoy your images for many, many years to come!

You’re so amazing! What an incredible replica dress (not to mention the greatest story ever)! I’m intrigued by the design though – you mentioned that you want the “K” to be removable. Will you do that by removing sections of the white broadcloth strips so you’re left with a black dress? I’m so glad you were featured this week – the theme was definitely custom-made for you!
