Baby face! ~{Miami newborn photographer}~

What better way to kick-off a brand new year for the blog than with a brand new baby! I love, and I mean looooove photographing newborns. Everything about them oozes deliciousness. Every time I come home from a newborn shoot, baby fever sets in and I think to myself: “Self, wouldn’t it be great to have a third baby, like, now?!” Then, when I’m settling into bed that night, the fever passes because I’m not even going to lie – I like uninterrupted sleep! By photographing babies, I get the best of both worlds –  hours of newborn cuddle time, yet none of the sleepless nights. Total win-win for me – woot!

Speaking of sleep, this little angel slept like a rock for me. I could pose her any way I wanted and she was like buttah – loved her! This was at least partly due to her mother scheduling her newborn session right away – these photos were taken within baby’s first 7 days.  Booking early is so important with newborns. Most moms-to-be call me while they are still pregnant, and most sessions occur within baby’s first 10 days. The sooner the session, the smoother things generally go since baby is more calm and willing to be posed. And did this one ever pose – check out these lips!

Want to see the lips closer up? Yeah. Me too.

And then she went and smiled. Smiled! Couldn’t you just melt into a puddle?

I just love newborns in black & white. So many clients choose to print newborn wall galleries in all black & white – it’s such a classic look.

If the abundance of “cute” in here gave you the same baby fever I mentioned at the beginning of this post, go ahead and hit the “add a comment” button and tell me all about it. And if you’re a mom-to-be who wants newborn photos of her still-cooking, or just-born baby, send me an email to book a session and help me get my baby-cuddling fix!
