When I first began emailing the mother in this family, and wanted to explain to her what her photo session would be like, I told her: “Think of it as family fun time, only with lip gloss and ironed clothing!” I think she got it right away because when I showed up, everyone was perfectly dressed (lip gloss applied, of course!) and they were willing to do anything I asked while looking natural all the while. The bonus is that when we took a break for baby to eat, mom and I had the opportunity talk for a while. She is one of the funniest people I’ve ever met. Naturally, I liked her right away.
Now then – let’s talk about this baby, shall we? Actually, strike that! I don’t even need to write a big, long paragraph about him and his awesomeness. I think this image will tell you far more about his personality than anything I could write.
Don’t you just love him, already? The fuzzy head, the gummy smile – he’s just got the sweetest face!

And speaking of mom and dad, they were the best of the best to shoot. Dad was such a help during the session – any time I needed baby to look my way or light up with a smile, dad was right there willing to pull silly faces, or make funny noises behind my head to get baby’s attention. He adores this kid, and it shows…
